SPOR is the motto of the city of Rome and appears in the city's coat of arms, as well as on many of the city's civic buildings and manhole covers. SPOR is an initialism from a Latin phrase, Senatus Populusque Romanus ("The Senate and the People of Rome" or "The Senate and Roman People"), referring to the government of the ancient Roman Republic. The Romans believed that all authority came from the people.
This gave us the idea to use SPOR as our initials which stands for Southern Paranormal Observation and Research. This also means that the people in our group make the decisions together and are not subject to one leaders suggestions.
Below are a few picutures of SPOR being used throughout Rome.
